A Place in the Sun Live Property Showcase Ascot made its thrilling debut on the 3rd-4th March 2024 with two exhilarating days of overseas property action. Exhibitors from a wide range of favourite destinations welcomed over 1,500 house hunters to help them move forward with making their dream of moving abroad into a reality at this boutique property showcase.
Ascot buzzed with over 1,500 eager house hunters, each taking strides towards their dream of owning property abroad. They dived into conversations with over 30 exhibitors from overseas estate agents representing Spain, France, Portugal, Madeira, Italy, Cyprus, Florida and Greece, in addition to lawyers, property experts, currency specialists and mortgage advisors, all offering tangible, invaluable information.
Visitors also got to participate in a jam packed schedule of seminars and panel discussions, delving into the heart of buying an overseas property. From an exclusive interview with much loved TV presenter, Jasmine Harman to thrilling sessions on property hunting in Spain, the path to purchasing in France, and dedicated sessions on buying in Portugal. Each seminar session provided visitors with insider tips and relayed the vast opportunities gained from purchasing a property overseas.
Alongside property experts from around the world, Martyn and Shirley Wolfe captivated audience with their real-life adventure of buying a France getaway on A Place in the Sun TV show. They shared their exciting adventure on stage to Jasmine, from conquering planning hurdles, befriending the local mayor, to immersing themselves in local life, their story was a testament to the thrill of making dreams a reality!
How did we do?
Our first Ascot show was a huge success… but what did you think? Our survey showed that those who attended found the event incredibly valuable, propelling them closer with their dream of buying an overseas property.
We received around 200 responses to our survey to find out how we did over the weekend of the show and how it impacted our house-hunters. Here’s a snapshot of the feedback on how we did!

meet our TV Presenter
We were pleased to welcome the much loved Channel 4 TV presenter Jasmine Harman at this years A Place in the Sun Live Ascot Property Showcase show.
Jasmine opened the show on both days with an exclusive interview on the main stage, drawing on her many years of insights to offer advice on how eager house hunters can find their very own place in the sun.
Later on day one, Jasmine took to the stage again to catch-up with real-life house buyers from the TV show, Martyn and Shirley Wolfe on their journey to find a property in the south-west of France with a budget of £265,000. They shared their experience of navigating through the process of buying a property in France.
Jasmine also met and chatted with visitors across the two days for selfies and answering questions on property searching abroad.
